About

Dave Haines is a British runner, writer and fundraiser based in Melbourne, Australia.

He took up running by mistake in 2008 and since then has run a two-day ultramarathon, five and a bit marathons, three kilomathons, a dozen or so half marathons and quite a lot of other miles in between, racing in five countries and demolishing hundreds of pounds' worth of running shoes.

He also contributes articles to Runner's World UK, works in development for Monash University and can't understand why he still doesn't own a springer spaniel called Jasper.

Some nice people at Much Better Adventures once called him 'an ordinary person undertaking extraordinary challenges'.
